BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Routine agenda awaited by the third-year students of study program Geodesy and Geomatics ITB is a Work Camp (Kemker). This year, Kemker was held dedicated primarily to student class of 2013. Located in ITB Jatinangor, this event became the event that emphasized the realization of ITB Multicampus system functions that have been implemented. Basically, this event aimed to map a region within a certain time. Kemker this time lasted for 15 days and conducted right at the end of the semester (15-29/05/16).

Being together for two weeks at a time to apply the science became very interesting things to imagine by the students. Not only experience, but also togetherness, endless way to learn more, and special memories were equipped in the camp. Although two weeks were counted as short, Kemker participants got a lot of things out of this event.

"For two weeks, we have to finish mapping the area that has been determined, this year at ITB Jatinangor. Here we also apply the basic science of Geodetic which we have learned in semester III-VI. Indeed, the emphasis was in group of scientific Survey and Cadaster. Cadastral  is a sort of knowledge about the land, so it is more inclined to law of the land itself. Anyway, all processes are done in a comprehensive manner, starting from planning, acquisition of data, up to the presentation of these data to 2D (map), "said Abilla Pramita as the Chairman of the Work Camp, 2016.

The daily life of the students in Kemker was filled with certain target per day, ranging from data collection, data processing, and the presentation of the data itself. This activity was able to pass on good habits. Discipline and teamwork is the key to the success implementation of all activities in Kemker. Increased sense of community within the students is caused by the same activities done together at the same time. In addition to practical science, these students maintain their health as they also performed physical activity in the form of exercise before carrying out the preparations for the next day.
