Photography Exhibition: 100 X France

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- From Wednesday(17/12) until Sunday(23/12), a photography exhibition themed "100 X France" was held in Galeri Soemardja FSRD ITB. The curator from Culture France, Sophie Schmit, showed 100 photographs from many well-known photographers, such as Charles Negro, Gustave Gray, Eugene Delacroix, and Edgar Degas.

Each of the photograph was shown also with the history of the photo processing. The photographs tell us about some history of France from 1893 until now. One of them defines about the time when Napoleon III led France, from 1852-1870, it uniquely describes the city view, the politics view, and also social views.

Also, there's one shows how the Eiffel Tower, which is the romantic symbol of the great France, was built. Eiffel Tower, which height is 325 m and placed on Camp de Mars France, was built from 1887-1889 as the way in to an international exhibition "Exposition Universelle" which held for celebrating 100 years Revolution of France. Until now, this romantic icon of France has been visited for more than 200.000.000 people from all around the world.

The Photography Exhibiton "100 X France" was organized by Centre Cultural Francais Bandung and Culture France.
