This event was attended by the University Secretary Prof.Dr.-Ing.Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo, Coordinator of Legal Administration and Personnel of the Directorate General of Higher Education Suwitno, Chair of the West Java Ombudsman Drs. Dan Satriana, Inspectorate General IV of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Masrul Latif, S.IP., M.Sc., QIA, CFrA, CRMO., and the ITB academic community.

STEI ITB is a unit under ITB that has been chosen as a pilot project for implementing Bureaucratic Reform through efforts to develop ZI for Corruption-Free Areas (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Areas (WBBM). This is supported by a variety of initiatives, including planning, program implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the WBK/WBBM ZI development to ensure that it can be implemented in real terms. The following step will focus on enhancing risk management and improving business processes from level 0.

In order to develop modern institutional governance, the government has issued the Ministerial Regulation of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 11 of 2015 concerning the Road Map of Bureaucratic Reform 2015-2019 and Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 81 of 2010 concerning Grand Design of Bureaucratic Reform 2010-2025.

During the declaration, Prof. Widjaja stated that bureaucratic reform is an integrated effort aimed at improving the government system. These efforts must be a shared commitment and carried out on a continual basis by all aspects of the organization and stakeholders, so that deviations may be averted early on through increased integrated supervision. "This Integrity Zone is one of the efforts in accelerating bureaucratic reform," he said.

He thanked STEI ITB for having the courage to become a pilot model in the ITB environment and for assisting ITB with the implementation of the Integrity Zone development program.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Legal Administration and Personnel of the Directorate General of Higher Education Suwitno stated his support for ITB's efforts. He will help and facilitate ITB in order to increase STEI ITB leaders' and staff's commitment.
In his remarks, Drs. Dan Satriana, the Chair of the West Java Ombudsman, hoped that ITB may become a model for bureaucratic reform in promoting integrity and quality services. He also wished that other universities would follow in ITB's footsteps.

This event was followed by ZI socialization Inspectorate General IV of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Masrul Latif, S.IP., M.Sc., QIA, CFrA, CRMO., as well as ZI declaration at STEI ITB. Afterwards, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., the Rector of ITB, delivered her speech in support of the ZI WBK/WBBM declaration in ITB. "Within the ITB environment, STEI has been chosen as a pilot work-unit of the Integrity Zone. It is not true that a declaration made in one work unit applies solely to that work unit. However, the drive to create an Integrity Zone should be implemented by all work units inside ITB,” she explained.

Prof. Reini concluded her remarks by encouraging everyone to work together in implementing the Integrity Zone within the ITB environment. "Let us work together to build the Integrity Zone for a better ITB in order to restore the nation's dignity and global reputation," she continued.

Dr. Tutun Juhana, S.T., M.T., Dean of STEI ITB, stated that numerous efforts have been made to develop WBK/WBBM ZI, including program development, program implementation, and ongoing evaluation of WBK/WBBM ZI development so that it may be applied in real terms at STEI ITB. "We at STEI ITB absolutely call for all stakeholders' assistance in order to attain the WBK/WBBM Integrity Zone,” he said.

The Integrity Pact was signed by the Dean, Deputy Dean, and STEI Officials to conclude the event.

The ZI WBK/WBBM STEI ITB development refers to the Ministerial Regulation of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 52 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for Development of Integrity Zones Towards a Corruption-Free Area and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area in Government Agencies as well as Ministerial Regulation of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform Number 10 of 2019 concerning Amendments to PERMEN PAN-RB No. 52 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for the Development of Integrity Zones Towards a Corruption-Free Area and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area in Government Agencies.
