BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The School of Business and Management at Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) hosted a Business Scale Up Guest Lecture at the Nemangkawi Auditorium Building, Labtex XIX SBM ITB, on Friday (6/10/2023). The lecture featured Oki Earlivan, the Founder of Lagoe.id, who presented several solutions to challenges in music education in Indonesia.

Oki Earlivan identified fundamental obstacles in the field of music education in Indonesia, including difficulties in finding reliable music teachers, high tutoring costs, and obstacles in playing favorite songs. To address these challenges, he established Lagoe.id, a digital platform aiming to enhance the overall music learning experience.

Oki Earlivan, also the Chief Financial Officer of Oxford Strategy Review, shared his experience and perspectives on the solutions offered through his platform. He believes that Lagoe.id has successfully addressed several issues in music learning in Indonesia.

One distinctive feature of Lagoe.id is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology to recognize instruments in a song and provide chords for each of these instruments. This feature enables users to learn from basic songs to their favorite tunes.

Emphasizing the importance of a strong ecosystem in product development, he stated, "A product must have a good ecosystem so that consumers who use it will experience 'dependence' when using it."

Lagoe.id conducted in-depth research to understand user needs, current music technology, and desired music technology. The platform built a prototype, gathering ideas and input from early users as the first step towards a more mature concept.

Committed to providing access as economically as possible, Lagoe.id includes ads and offers paid options for premium features. The platform continues to develop advanced music features, such as transpose keys, the ability to create one's own music arrangements, and genre changes through AI.

Oki Earlivan advised aspiring entrepreneurs on the importance of involving close parties as the first step in expanding the user base and gathering valuable feedback. Through innovation and dedication, Lagoe.id demonstrates that various problems in the music learning ecosystem can become real opportunities to change the way people learn and enjoy music.
