SBM ITB Student Team Won 2nd Place in International Business Case Competition Entrepreneur Days 7.0
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – The student team from the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) won second place in the International Business Case Competition Entrepreneur Days 7.0 organized by Darussalam Gontor University.
Students from a variety of universities participated in this competition. They compete to find the most effective solution to the business problems faced by a company.
Student team from ITB called TriSavvy, consists of Intan Nurhaliza, Agustin Anandia Kartika Prabasari, and Rahma Ilahi Sari Dewi.
They succeeded in progressing to the final round after passing the preliminary round that involved over 100 teams. In this phase, 98 teams submitted the business case paper and only 5 teams were selected as finalists.
Our team was selected as a finalist and was then presented with a new business case, an actual case from Cordova-Edupartment, Semarang,” explained Intan Nurhaliza.
The challenge posed in this business case was requiring participants to increase the apartment sales within the housing industry, with the main target being investors and the second target being the end user.
Intan Nurhaliza mentioned that the second case was more challenging than the first one.
“The second case is quite challenging compared to the first one because it is a real case from an industry that we have never done before,” she said
The time limit given to complete the second case was quite short. The team had only 10 days to finish the paper and presentation.
The final round was held offline at Darussalam Gontor University where the TriSavvy team performed exceptionally well. The final round required the finalists to present their ideas in front of the Company’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in English.
Until the peak of the event, which is the awarding session on Tuesday (9/1/2024), the TriSavvy team was chosen as the second-place winner. Intan Nurhaliza said that this competition was not only exciting and challenging, but she and her team also learned a lot of new lessons.
“It’s exciting and challenging due to the case being quite difficult, so we learned a lot of new lessons,” she said.
Apart from that, she is grateful because her participation in this competition provided valuable experience and the opportunity to make connections with many new friends. This achievement is a matter of pride for SBM ITB and proves the quality and abilities of its students.
