BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - On Friday (25/4), there was discussion forum upon nation technology development at the Scientific Meeting Auditorium (BPI). Thus was as a real effort to stimulate idea and solution for technology development in Indonesia. Held by ITB Headmaster Council (MGB), both students and common were invited to the event. Prof Sahari Besari, main speaker, present his titled “Nation Technology: 40 Century of Innovation Obstacles”. Prof Sahari was explaining technology development in Indonesia, especially based on his view on research and observation relate to how surprise Indonesian, as developing country, already use various kind of latest technology on their daily activities. However, sad to know that most of the latest technology applied here in Indonesia was merely import commodity. The presentation was only short explanation from his essay on the book written on same titled. On his speech, ITB Rector Djoko Santoso was expect the discussion could trigger more idea to enhance Indonesian technology skill at the same level India and China has done. Prof Sahari Besari is post ITB Headmaster Council member, now he is in charge as headmaster of science philosophy and modeling in University of Diponegoro, Semarang. On his closing, Prof Sahari reveals his believes that ITB should respond to various problems and stated its roadmap toward future global technology development
