BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) is renowned for producing highly competitive graduates. The alumni of ITB are employed in a wide range of national and international industries, and their favorable reputation within companies can largely be credited to the ITB Career Center. The ITB Integrated Career Days, one of its prominent events, will be taking place again in 2023.

The event was opened by Dr. G. Prasetyo Adhitama, the Director of Student Affairs at ITB. He expressed great pride and appreciation for the successful organization of the ITB Integrated Career Days 2023. He believes that this event enhances ITB's connections with strategic partners, such as private institutions and the government, fostering a more collaborative atmosphere.

"ITB fully supports programs that support and integrate campus and off-campus parties," said Prasetyo.

The event was also fully supported by Ir. Rahmat Taufik Garsadi, the Head of the Department of Labor and Transmigration of West Java Province. He conveyed his gratitude for the contribution of ITB in assisting in the reduction of unemployment in West Java. At present, the number of individuals who are unemployed in the region stands at 2.1 million. The current rate of open unemployment in Indonesia stands at 45%, which accounts for approximately 7.89% of the country's total population.

"West Java has the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia," he stated.

In the industrial world, the current problem is not only felt by job seekers, but employers also face difficulties in finding suitable talents. Therefore, the ITB Integrated Career Days aim to create a mutually beneficial exchange between job seekers and employers.
