In his remark, the University Secretary, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo, said that this award was given as a form of appreciation to ITB academic communities, especially to the lecturers, for their dedication to distinguishing ITB's name in various fields.

"In a long journey, every accomplishment can only be achieved through full dedication and commitment. Hard work, mind, time, commitment, that has been dedicated astoundingly, which surely have distinguished ITB's name, in education, research, community service, and institutional development," said Prof. Widjaja in his speech during the awarding.

From 39 awards, 10 were in the education category, 9 were in the research and innovation category, 11 were in the community service category, and 9 were in the institutional development category.

Prof. Widjaja hopes that the awards could flourish the spirit and motivation of the ITB academic community to keep on excelling and innovating to advance both ITB and Indonesia.

"I hope that this award can bring ITB even forward, become better and prosperous, and motivate us all, especially for the younger generations, to keep contributing to ITB and bring positive impacts for our beloved nation, Indonesia," ended Widjaja.
