ITB and Kalla Group Establish Cooperation in Development of Tridarma of Higher Education and MBKM
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id--Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) signed a memorandum of understanding or MoU with PT Hadji Kalla (Kalla Group) in the fields of Education Development, Research, and Community Service on Tuesday (14/6/2021). The signing of the MoU was carried out at the ITB Ganesha Campus CRCS Building by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs (WRAM) ITB Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M.Eng., and Director of PT Hadji Kalla Disa Rizky Novianty.
The scope of the collaborations included the Kalla Goes To Campus program (Introduction to the Industrial World), Research Collaboration (Final-Year Students and Lecturers), University Referrals (References of Prestigious Students to Companies), Kalla Future Leaders Program, Kalla Internship Program Campus Merdeka collaboration, and other agreed agendas.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M.Eng. said that ITB welcomes the presence of Kalla Group at the ITB Ganesha Campus. ITB’s curriculum was designed inline with the industrial world. However, in its application, it is much different from previous years. Today, that is very obvious with the application of technology.
He hopes that the collaboration between the 2 parties can enrich the implementation of this matter. In addition to that, the collaboration program with the industry at MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) needs to be developed even further, as ITB has been doing this collaboration program with said industry for a long time, even long before the MBKM program existed.
“This collaboration must be put to good use, because in the future, students will be faced with the industrial world after they graduate, and later these students will be the leaders in said industry. Kalla Group is a company that has been active in various fields. ITB students must make the best use of this program,” he added.
Meanwhile, Disa Rizky Novianty said that Kalla Group is very open to work together with ITB in various fields in her speech. In addition, Kalla Group's collaboration with ITB has been around for a long time, and she hopes that this collaboration can continue to be well established in the future and hopefully be a good thing for us all. “A lot of ITB alumni have had careers in Kalla Group, several Kalla Group Directors are ITB Alumni," added the People & Process Director.
During said MoU event, Head of Partnership Bureau Prof. Dr. Taufiq Hidajat, D.E.A., Director of Student Affairs Dr. G. Prasetyo Adhitama, S.Sn., M.Sn., and Head of Sub-Directorate for Profession Development and Student Entrepreneurship Hafiz Aziz Ahmad, S.Sn., M.Des., Ph.D. were also present. Moreover, Muh. Ilhamsyah Ekaputra (Employer Branding & HRIS Dept. Head) from Kalla Group was present too. On this occasion, there were also student representatives from various Student Associations within ITB, outstanding students, and students from South Sulawesi.
