ISO Delivered World Masterpiece on 10th Anniversary Celebration

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB Student Orchestra is one of student organizations in clumps art and culture which is infatuated by music lovers in ITB. It was proven by people crowding FORTE concert "When Ganesha Plays Music Again". This is the seventh ISO concert and became its 10th anniversary celebration as well. Led by Bram Yohanes Setiadi (Physics 2012), ISO conducted two days concert (18-19/04/15) by not only showing its members' music skills, but also by inviting some famous musicians across Indonesia.
"Such a beautiful symphony which cannot be constructed easily, this music show can come true through hard works and efforts, which are not easy. Thus we would like to thank the rectorate of ITB, our sponsors, and media partners who have supported and helped us in conducting this event as well to the guest stars who participated in enlivening this event," Bram said as ISO chairman.

On the first day, ISO invited Jubing Kristianto and Domus String Quartet to the show. ISO then conducted chamber concert in the evening. The concert was held in Aula Barat ITB. On the second day, ISO also invited Levi Gunardi and Jakarta Wind Quartet. The event was then ended by performance of ITB Students Orchestra. Musicians were invited to play the world music masterpieces, such as Beethoven's, I. Albeniz's, Joseph Hadyn's, and Paul Taffanel's. Apart from that, Levi Gunardi also performed his own work like Make Us Proud Children, Dahayu, and The Dancer.

At the closing concert which was held in Aula Timur on Monday evening (19/04/15), Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA., as the rector of ITB delivered his gratitude to this concert.  As he said, ISO is one of student organizations that can nurture the sense of students through music performance. "Their sense is nurtured through arts and social relationship. Tonight we have witnessed student organization that can nurture the sense," ITB Rector said in his speech.

Through FORTE, ISO hoped it could show the meaning of correlation between life, music, and movement through the given music arrangement. ISO wanted the audiences feel the human movements which were already ignored due to today's modern lifestyle. This concert had also became the proof of care and love from ITB students in ISO towards music orchestra development.
