Integrated Career Days : Connecting ITB and the Professional World
ITB Career Center, which is coordinated by Character Building and Profession Division in Profession Development Section of the Student Foundation (Lembaga Kemahasiswaan-LK), held a Career Days for the second time this year. Continuing its success on last April, with the title "ITB Integrated Career Days", this event was conducted in Sasana Budaya Ganesha on Friday-Sunday (14-16 October 2011). This career day was a set of integrated activities conducted to facilitate interaction and connection between the professional world and ITB, also it included industrial exhibition, company presentation, recruitment test and also training.

ITB career center put job providers (both private and government industries) as mentor for building student's professionalism in specific field (through technical training) and also in general field (soft skill training). In order to achieve it,they created this ITB Integrated Career Days
Companies participating in this activity totaled up to 50 companies, including Unilever, PT Pertamina, Schlumberger, PT Astra International, Oberthur Techmologies, Exxonmobil, Total E&P Indonesie, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT United Tractors, The Jakarta Post, Chevron, PT Bakrieland Development, PT Bank Negara Indonesia, PT Freeport Indonesia, Contact Singapore, PT Bank Negara Indonesia, and many more.
Not Only from ITB
Loads of students and alumni visited this event, most of it were graduated students from July session or soon-to be graduated students on October session. Visitors not only came from ITB but also from other universities, such as Gajah Mada University, Padjajaran University, University of Indonesia, Atma Jaya, and UNS. Apart form that, these events were open for public, not only universities students.
One of the visitor, Romi Kharisnawan (students from System and Information System 2010), "The concept (of this event) was really interesting and quite unique because this was not just a company exhibition but also an on-site open recruitment for company employment, me myself was one of the participant on the last day of the event. Beside jobs recruitment, there were a lot of internship program for students. This is definitely recommended for final-year students"
