Description
The Undergraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering studies the inter disciplines of life science, agricultural science, technology, and biosystem engineering principles as a solution to problems faced in the agricultural production process to produce optimum, efficient, and sustainable production systems or results. Through the Undergraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering, ITB contributes to producing human resources (HR) who can design sustainable integrated agricultural systems (environmentally friendly) through biosystem engineering principles to produce high biomass with energy, material, and economically efficient systems in various environmental conditions to meet the needs of agricultural products for the community.

Objectives
The Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering Study Program organizes and develops education and teaching by implementing an engineering approach in agriculture to produce graduates who can design systems and problem solvers for the community by setting West Java as a target focus and model in developing potential and resources to increase the productivity of the quality of life of its people.

Research Topics
To create superior agricultural and human resources, the Agricultural Engineering Study Program prepares agricultural education schemes to produce professional agricultural engineers built on 10 (ten) concepts that form the basis for educational development to produce graduates who can design biologically and economically efficient agricultural biomass production systems in various land and climate conditions, namely Bioregional Management, Environmental Management, Biodiversity, Integrated Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environmental Economics, Agribusiness, Biogeochemical Cycles, Sustainable Development, Mass Conservation, and Entropy. The foundation is then used as the formulation of the body of knowledge of the study program, which covers basic science to engineering and management sciences.

Career Prospects
  1. Government Agencies as ASN or non-ASN employees in the Departments of Agriculture and Food Security and Environment and Forestry.
  2. Agricultural Industries produced agricultural products as the primary raw material, such as the Palm Oil and Seed industries. Industries providing agricultural production facilities, such as fertilizer and pesticide companies.
  3. Entrepreneurs engaged in ornamental plants, livestock, or agribusiness companies engaged in providing comprehensive services that uplift farmers with the help of AI-enabled data and technology.
  4. Research Institutions such as Palm Oil Research Center or World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia
  5. Educational Institutions as lecturers or teachers at state universities, private universities, and various other educational institutions.
  6. Non-governmental organizations or NGOs engaged in agriculture and extension.
