Center for Research on Disaster Mitigation (CRDM), formerly Center for Disaster Mitigation (CDM), which is under framework of Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM ITB) was formally established in 2005. CRDM is the development of RGDM (Research Group on Disaster Management) which was established in the year of 2003. The activities of CRDM in disaster mitigation consist of component based program such as Hazard Identification and Mapping, Vulnerability of elements at risk, Disaster Risk Assessment, Community Awareness/Community Education, Disaster Mitigation Policy, Trainings, Structural and Non Structural Mitigation, Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, Gender Issue in Disaster Mitigation and so forth.
