BANDUNG, itb.ac.id— On Saturday, October 23, 2021, ITB conducted its first graduation for the period of October 2021. This time, ITB had a total of 2,596 graduates from the doctoral program, master’s program, professional program, and undergraduate program. The youngest graduate of the undergraduate program was 19 years and 4 months old, according to the information provided at the graduation procession.

Mochammad Vanris Arya Saputra, also known as Vanris, is an International Business Management graduate from the School of Business and Management (SBM) ITB. Vanris had not anticipated being the youngest graduate. "I'm thrilled, but I also didn't expect it," Vanris told an ITB reporter on Monday (10/25/2021).

Vanris enrolled in the acceleration program during his elementary and junior high school years, therefore he only spent seven years in total. At the age of sixteen, he enrolled in college so he was able to get his bachelor's degree at such a young age.

Vanris got used to the very dynamic and quick learning environment at ITB as a result of his participation in the school's accelerated program. According to the graduate who was born in Bandung, May 27, 2002, there were no noteworthy difficulties while attending lectures at ITB.

Vanris also spent a year attending lectures in England. However, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, he had to take them virtually. Nonetheless, this opportunity proved to be a very useful learning experience for him.

Vanris is planning to pursue his education in the business industry after completing his undergraduate degree. He is currently launching his start-up in the sector of catfish farming. He also wishes to continue his education at the master’s level.

Vanris wants to be an entrepreneur. "A lot has changed in the business world. Currently, I am running a farming business, but that may change in the coming year. If we want to be successful, we must be versatile," Vanris noted.

Vanris also encouraged students who are still studying at ITB to make the most of their time there, one of which is through developing new connections. Furthermore, he stated that students should balance their college pursuits with other enjoyable things. According to him, students still require energizing activities to relieve stress, especially during the pandemic, when everything must be managed individually because lectures are delivered online.
