BANDUNG, - The Parents Association (IOM) of ITB annually always provides scholarship assistance to ITB students who are less well off financially. Currently, IOM-ITB has routinely provided assistance to approximately 10% of the total ITB students. The chairman of IOM-ITB, Delyuzar Ilahude, said that the number of students who needed assistance was actually more than the number assisted by IOM-ITB. Sources of funds obtained apart from the parents of students, also come from regular donors of IOM. He hopes that the scholarship assistance from IOM can ease the burden on students from a financial side so that they can still complete their education at ITB.

Organizationally, IOM is under the ITB Directorate of Student Affairs. Students who feel financially difficult can apply for a scholarship to IOM through Directorate of Student Affairs first. After that, the student must complete certain requirements. Then, the IOM team will conduct interviews with scholarship recipients. "So there are students who have difficulty funding, he reports and we interview what the problem is. However, because it is currently in a pandemic situation, it is possible that we will conduct virtual interviews," he told ITB Public Relations, Friday (23/10/2020).

IOM is an ITB partner who plays a role in helping the continuity of education that is social and familial in nature and aims to participate in fostering students, by building relationships between parents of students. As a partner of ITB, IOM consistently provides assistance to students with financial difficulties in studying at ITB. The organization, which was founded on December 16, 1974, hopes that none of the students will fail their studies due to financial constraints. Therefore, IOM hopes for the support and cooperation of all parents of students and academicians.
