ITB teams were successfully scooped six awards out of five competitions held. The achievement in category of Debate Competition won by Farhad Hamid Bayagub (Petroleum Engineering 2013), Dharmawan Raharjo (Petroleum Engineering 2013) and Muhammad Arief Purnomo (Metallurgical Engineering in 2013); winner of the category of Student Paper Competition by Ricky Aditiya Fandi (Petroleum Engineering 2012); Champion two categories Oil Rig Design Competition by Joshua Anastasius Nainggolan (Petroleum Engineering 2012), Reza Rizky Dharmawan (Electrical Power Engineering 2012), Nawfal Kemal (Mechanical Engineering 2012), Dhekanegara (Marine Engineering 2012) and Keziah Virdayanti (Architecture 2012); champion three categories Smart Competition by Mahruri (Petroleum Engineering 2011), Muhammad Rida Ansari (Petroleum Engineering 2012) and Adam Ramadhan Priatna (Petroleum Engineering 2013); Champion two categories Plan of Development Competition by Muhammad Ikhsan Akbar (Petroleum Engineering 2011), R. Nugraha Sunni Priadi (Petroleum Engineering 2011), Nadya Oetari (Geological Engineering, 2011), I Gusti Agung Gede Angga (Petroleum Engineering 2011) and Dito Budi Sukarno (Petroleum Engineering 2011); as well as the title of Best Speaker for debate category was given to Muhammad Arief Purnomo (Metallurgical Engineering in 2013). "Bringing ITB overall winner in this competition is a pride for us, because it has succeeded in the name of ITB outside," Muhammad Rida Ansari (Petroleum Engineering 2012) said. In the category of Smart Competition, Rida Ansari added that the team representing the ITB newly formed after weeks Final Examination Semester (UAS) over, so it requires more effort to compete. These categories can be said to be a quiz competition which is similar to the theme of the event. ITB team with a very short preparation defeated fourteen other participants and managed to seat three. "Thanks to the struggle and timlah compactness that makes us managed to reach the target of three large," Rida Ansari added. Another story with the debate competition, ITB team through two stages of the game. In the preliminary round, ITB given subtheme "This House Would Encourage Rather Than Offshore Drilling Onshore Drilling on its Environmental Impacts," and reposition themselves as a team that supports the statement. In the final stage, ITB dealing with a team of University of Indonesia (UI) and won the first rank. "ITB team in the final round as well as the team that supports a given sub-themes. We are required to think hard and of course using techniques debate we have learned before," Arief Purnomo said. Competition is an event that can give us a chance to measure themselves against the science of understanding we learn. Self-motivation will come increased after passing through one phase of competition and make yourself to always daring work. "For me working in the ITB is when we are able to learn, socialize, and do the organization well and also excel outside of ITB. Let us use the time as ITB students to work as much as possible," Rida Ansari added, he is more motivated to actively work after following the race.
