In his speech, ITB Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, delivered seven points of leadership that mandated to new five vice rectors. First, vice rectors have obligations in determining the forward direction and the way to realize it. They also have to receive the aspirations from every ITB academic community and external parties. "The direction later will begin with academic plan based on ITB main development planning," said Kadarsah. Second is delivering the way to get those goals to peoples under the leadership of their respective fields. Third is performing services on what the parents of students and students needed and mandated.

Fourth is managing data and information as well as science. Besides, it also needs to integrate with all units to be well monitored in order to realize ITB goals. Fifth is empowering institution both the human and non-human resources within ITB to be beneficial. Sixth is performing Tri Dharma Universities that had been mandated by the government efficiently and productively. Seventh is reporting the performance result for each three months because nowadays ITB is an institution with legal entity. "I entrust the planning, implementation, and monitoring in order to advance ITB for the betterment of the nation and the state," said Kadarsah.

Besides delivering those seven points, Kadarsah also mandated each vice rectors in accordance with their respective fields. This inauguration of new vice rectors at once also lay in respect for vice rectors in previous period. New vice rectors for 2015-2020 periods are Prof. Ir. Bermawi Priyatna Iskandar as Vice Rector for Academic and Students, Prof. Dr. Irawati, MS as Vice Rector for Resources and Organizations, Prof. Dr. Wawan Gunawan A. Kadir as Vice Rector for Finance, Planning, and Development, Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Riyanto Trilaksono as Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Partnership, and Dr. Miming Miharja, ST., M.Sc., Eng as Vice Rector for General Administration, Alumni, and Communication. Kadarsah hoped that vice rectors for 2015-2020 periods can perform the mandates well. "ITB is great but do not be too proud because that greatness is responsibility," lid Kadarsah.
