ITB Held OSN-Pertamina Selection West Java Province Grade
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Progress of Education and knowladge are fundamental for sustainable development. As formed of Responsibility to joint contribution for Nation Development, Pertamina back to held National Science Olympiad 2014 (OSN-Pertamina 2014) collaborate with all collages in every Province in Indonesia. OSN-Pertamina is the scientific competition and creaction place and achievement in scinece sign for students whole Indonesia. In this it's helding OSN-Pertamina 7, ITB back to be one of selection executant province grade in West Java. Arround 145 Students from other collages joint this selection at Aula Barat ITB on Thursday (25/09/14) 
"Still have student status, all participants can allow to register and can choose location of selection in everywhere. At the last, will choose the best participants in each region and the champion in province grade will enter to National grade," Aleams Barra, Ph.D said (ITB Math Lecturer) as commitee of this selection. There are two category that contested on OSN-Pertamina 2014, that are theory category and Science project Category. Theory category have four competition plane, such as Math, physic, chemistry, and biology. Whereas science project category that be implement in team, which one team contain three students, there are three plane that can be joined, software aplication, structure design, and best product.
In this selection on province grade, participants who included theory category will take on written test with multi-choice that examine grade of understanding's student have to plane that they choose. Selection on this theory category is held with joint improvement on previous year. Hopefully, this improvement can give evenly perfection for best student in each province in Indonesia to get achievement. Meanwhile, on the project science category selection collectiong their project in proposal formed. Center committee will evaluate that proposal and determine the best ten in each plane to get online achievement. Beside that, all of team must make a poster suitable to their project to determine the champion of the best poster in province grade.
If the participant success gain the best value on this province grade selection, so they can joint final round on national grade that can be held at Indonesia University on 22-28 of Novembre 2014. Science project category team who wriggle out elimination round of selection also will presented the result science project based on their proposal on final round, "OSN-Pertamina is the good competition to measuring students potentiality with look how far their self can be do competition than students in Indonesia. Moreover there is present like scholarship that served by Pertamina arround two billion rupiah," Aleams closed.
