Team of Librarians from The Office of Vice President Visited ITB Central Library
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - To gain insights on library management, a team of librarians from The Office of Vice President visited ITB Central Library on Friday (25/11). Head of The Library Department of The Office of Vice President, Demos FKS, was on the visiting team, accompanied by Head of Sub Department Fajar Meilani. The guests was received by ITB's Head of Department of Library Services, Dra. Ice Krisnaeni. Ice explained the procedures and regulations of borrowing and managing the collections, as well as the Digital Library (Digilib) system to the guests. Fajar said that the visit was conducted in order to increase expand the knowledge on library and to share experiences. 
"The system is indeed different here, in a university library, than the one we had in the office. We will learn the advantages of university library to improve our work back in the office," said Meilani. One of the thing that Meilani learned is about Digilib management; its system and its safety. Since 2007, ITB has established a digital library with more than 40.000 contents. "We visited ITB's library because we consider this library as a good example," Meilani added.
