ITB Won Gold Medal in GEMASTIK
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id-ITB won five medals in a national scale competition named GEMASTIK (National Student Exhibition on Information and Communication Technology) 2010, held under the collaboration of Directorate General of Higher Education, Department of National Education, and Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) in Surabaya, on Monday-Wednesday (4-6/10/10).
ITB participated in five categories, among the total eight categories contested. The five categories are network security, programming, data mining, smartware and game development, and one paper competition. Team Beastie and team eSecure from ITB earned one gold and one silver, respectively, in network security category.
There are a number of achievements besides that: team Dongsar Pedongi earned one silver on programming category, team Eclipse earned one bronze on data mining category, Ahmad Mushofi H earned one bronze on paper competition.
This year, ITB sent no more than 30 participants, a small number compared to those of the other universities, whose delegates reaching almost 100 participants. Below are the winners' names: Team Beastie (Syafiq Al Atiiq, Hilman Faturrahman, Muhammad Fiqri), team eSecure (Harfizuldy, Adityo Jiwandono, Wahyu Heryanto), team Dongsar Pedongi (Karol Danutama, Irvan Jahja, Listiarso Wastuargo), team Eclipse (Firdi Mulia, Galih Andana, Elvina Halim).
