50 Years of ITB: Visual Arts Creativity Corner

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Science, technology and art (ipteks) exhibition celebrating 50 Years of ITB, held on 2-7 March 2009 at the ITB campus. A line from the main gate to the Plaza Ganesha Widya, there are various kinds of exhibition stand, from the food stands, handicrafts, industrial products, to other products of creativity. One of the stand that attracts visitors is Visual Arts Stand, located in Plaza Widya.

Stand that is filled by the students of Faculty of Visual Arts and Design (FSRD) ITB show works through various diverse media. Visual Communication Design (DKV)in the corner shows animated film about ITB campus, a students work through the projector that is play anytime. From Graphic Design (DG), showed a portfolio of each student as an album that is packed with a variety of forms and materials, for example, Sandy Solihin paper, entitled "Journey to the Fantasy Island", in the form of a treasure trove of boxes filled with maps, portfolio album, card name and other trinkets that is still a theme.

A cardboard that is cutted with variety of angles and formed into such as tables, tbecome creative decoration in the middle of the stand. That Cardboard used as a place to place portfolio that most of them are albums and organizer books which design is their respective owners portfolio.

In addition, at the corner of the Design Products (DP) can be found Njoo Dewi works in the glass box, in the form of a helmet cover with mirror, a large pen, a radio transmitter, and a business card, with the concept of black and white. In addition, students also designed the DP package of products that they create themselves. There is a chocolate product, dodol, and Pastry with interesting packaging design.

They take advantage out of this exhibition to present their works during the course of FSRD ITB. Visitors who are mostly students, praised the work displayed. This can be seen from the comments written on the corner of the message and impression. "More innovation out of the box think, inspirate respect, clean, clear, green and save your planet," a visitor message as quoted by the ITB News Office from the corner of the message and impression.
