BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – ITB’s Campus Center East Wing Park is now transformed into beautiful green garden. The park design themed “Creative Transition of Public Space” is the product of Lunaida Kanzeila and Tida Nurlatifa, Architecture Student 2003. The design won first place on east wing campus center park design competition that held in conjunction with 30th reunion of ITB’78. “Campus Centre Park is the strategic element of ITB open space for student activities. Therefore to maximize utilization, quality enhancement is necessary. We invite students- those who have awareness - to actively participate in re-arrange their environment through this competition”, Lana Winayanti, Head of Reunion Committee said on Saturday (5/7). Officially opened on 30th ITB’78 reunion, the park is dedicated to carry student activity like discussion, task work, art activity, and etc. The park is divided into five areas. Area called the future light is community area which visually connected to CC building. Line of Janus is circulation area aimed for discussion spot as well as physic barrier between conservation zone and modern zone. Stairway to heaven is the terrace- the highest level laid on the top of CC step -with various vegetations. The past shadow is group activity area, it is formed a shaded space in opposite with field area. The location where the epigraphy located is called Monumen, laid on transparent site. The parks accessories are widely varies, started from sun powered lamp, water spot, spotlight, and biopori. The park is made of environmental sound material, i.e. beton, batu sikat, paving block, and low maintained vegetation like lavender, kucir, zephyranthes sp, elephant grass, and motorola. The design entitled The Creative Park on Public Space won the first place after beat Walking Sculpture Garden (second place) by Dadit Bagus dan Yessie H, Architect 2004, and Vibrant Sculpture Stage (third place) by A.A..Putra Munchana dan Agatha Mariesta, architect 2003. Meanwhile, the favorite category is grabbed by Green Tech Park by Dicke N A (AR’02) and Adwitya Dimas S (AR’04).
