BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- Women are mysterious creatures and their presence can make two brothers fighting one another. That is the content of the play ”Malapetaka Giling Wesi” (Giling Wesi Disaster) at the 37th Sendratari Show (Tanggap Warsa)held in ITB East Auditorium, Saturday (3/5) evening. The event was organized by Paguyaban Art of Dance and Karawitan Jawa (PSTK) ITB. The event brought forth dances and also traditional Central Java orchestra taught by the Indonesia Art High School (STSI) led by Sufi Hamdan Mazida (TG’06). It was themed ”Enchanting Java Truly Indonesia”, the show also became the official event of PSTK new’s leader, Muh.Harli W.N.U. ”I am glad because this event is a form of cultural dance,” Dr. Ciptati, MS., M.Sc., Student Bureau Rectorate representative said. Bapak Indro Nurhadi aka PSTK counselor also said how proud he was that in the middle of thier busy schedules, ITB students can still do all this. Dwi Hardjito (ITB’70) who is fondly known as ’Pakde’, PSTK founder was also present. In conjunction with the event, batik making demo, ”Reawakening the Success of Indonesian Batik” talk show from Batik Hasan as well as culinary and traditional games like ’engklek’ and ’gobak sodor’ began at 0900 till 2300.
