Teknik Sipil (Program Studi/Prodi)

The Department was established on July 3, 1920. It is the first, and thus the oldest civil engineering school in Indonesia, and was chartered under the name of Technische Hoogeschool Bandoeng with one faculty - de Fakulteit van Technische Wetenschappen - and one department : de Afdeling der Weg en Waterbouw ( The Department of Road and Water Structures). At that time, civil engineers were in great demand by Dutch Colonial by The Dutch Colonial Government to build roads, railways and irrigation systems in the country. The Institution is now known as the Department of Civil Engineering of the faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning, ITB.
